Description
The VFA butterfly valve series is engineered for fluid isolation and regulation in heating, refrigeration, and hydraulic plants. Designed to manage Group 2 fluids (such as water, overheated water, and steam) according to the 2014/68/UE (PED) directive, these valves offer a highly reliable and compact solution for modern HVAC systems.
Featuring a robust nodular iron body and a tight-closing design that meets strict DIN leakage standards, the VFA series provides versatile connection options, seamlessly matching PN6, PN10, and PN16 flange configurations. The series covers a wide range of nominal diameters from DN25 up to DN200, making it fully compatible with both MDA and MDL actuator series for automated control.
Key Features
Broad Dimension Range: Available in nominal diameters from DN25 up to DN200 to accommodate various piping specifications.
High Flow Efficiency: High Kvs values ranging from 26 m3/h for DN25 up to 3460 m3/h for DN200.
Universal Flange Compatibility: Standard PN16 construction with the flexibility to connect to PN6 and PN10 flanges.
Zero Leakage Performance: Complies with DIN EN 12266-1 Leakage rate A and DIN 3230 T3 Leakage rate 1 for tight close-off.
Robust Material Selection: Built with a durable nodular iron (EN-JS1030) body, EPDM seat, and stainless steel or nodular iron disks depending on the size.
Wide Temperature Tolerance: Suitable for media operating temperatures from -10 to 100 degrees C.
Ready for Automation: Supplied pre-fitted with all necessary coupling elements for immediate assembly with MDA actuators.
High Differential Pressure Capability: Supports close-off pressures up to 600 k
Pa for sizes up to DN125.
Benefits
Proven Reliability: Premium body and seat materials ensure long-term stability and bubble-tight shut-off in demanding industrial environments.
Flexible Integration: Multi-flange compatibility simplifies engineering and replacement tasks in existing installations.
Actuator Synergy: Direct compatibility with MDA and MDL actuators reduces installation time and eliminates the need for third-party linkages.
Space-Saving Design: Compact wafer-style construction allows for installation in tight spaces or multi-valve manifolds.
Applications
Boiler Sequence Control: Perfectly suited for boiler sequence programming systems when paired with MDA actuators.
HVAC Distribution Loops: Ideal for motorized shut-off and fluid management in heating, refrigerating, and hydraulic plants.
Industrial Utility Networks: Safe regulation of Group 2 fluids, including water, overheated water, and steam networks.
