Description
Compact I/O Modules with HOA switchesMINI-RS BACnet and Modbus I/O Modules are compact multiprotocol I/O expansion modules designed for distributed building automation systems. Operating over RS485 communication, they support open protocols BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, enabling seamless integration with controllers and existing BMS infrastructures.
The MINI-RS series extends controllers with additional inputs and outputs while complementing MIX series modules. Thanks to their compact form factor and optional Hand-Off-Auto (HOA) switches, they are particularly well-suited for applications requiring local manual control in space-constrained installations.
More Than I/O. Built-in Local Control.
Unlike typical remote I/O modules, selected MINI-RS models feature built-in control algorithms for HVAC and lighting applications. This allows them to operate as standalone controllers for light, heating, and cooling systems. Additionally, integrated timer relay modes support occupancy-based control strategies, increasing energy efficiency and system responsiveness.
Their versatility makes MINI-RS modules ideal for distributed applications where localized intelligence and control are required without adding complexity to the overall system.
Fast Setup. Flexible Integration.
Modules can be configured for BACnet or Modbus communication via DIP switches, enabling quick adaptation to project requirements. Addressing is handled using rotary switches, simplifying commissioning and reducing installation time.
MINI-RS modules can be connected directly to controllers or integrated via Modbus gateways (such as MIX-IP or MINI-IP), enabling cost-effective system expansion. A built-in mini USB port allows initial configuration without external power supply, supporting fast deployment and convenient local testing.
As part of a complete I/O portfolio including MIX, MAX, and MINI series, MINI-RS modules provide a flexible and scalable solution for a wide range of applications.
