Description
Expansion I/O Modules with a MIX of I/Os – Now Over IPMIX-IP BACnet IP and Modbus TCP/IP I/O Modules are multiprotocol Ethernet-based I/O expansion modules designed for distributed control systems in building automation applications. They extend the I/O capabilities of controllers such as MAC36PRO, iSMA-B-J9 controllers powered by Niagara, and RAC18-IP and UAC28-IP controllers with nano EDGE ENGINE embedded, as well as supervisory systems requiring large-count remote I/O.
Each module integrates a mix of the most commonly used input and output types, enabling flexible deployment in both new and existing installations. Thanks to open communication standards, the modules can be seamlessly integrated into existing BMS infrastructures without the need for additional gateways.
IP Connectivity. Faster Deployment. Smarter Architecture.
The MIX-IP series introduces full Ethernet-based communication using BACnet IP and Modbus TCP/IP, allowing direct integration into modern IP networks. Dual Fast Ethernet ports with built-in switch functionality enable daisy-chain topology, simplifying cabling and reducing installation time.
An integrated RS485 interface extends functionality even further with a built-in Modbus TCP/IP to Modbus RTU/ASCII gateway. This allows additional serial devices to be connected as Modbus server (slave) nodes, while the MIX-IP module operates as a client (master) on the network.
Built-in DHCP support simplifies network configuration by automatically assigning IP addresses, reducing setup time and minimizing configuration errors.
Designed for Scalability. Built for Integration.
Configuration and commissioning are streamlined through DIP switch protocol selection, rotary switch addressing, and a built-in mini USB port for initial setup without external power supply. A built-in web server enables full device configuration, I/O monitoring, and diagnostics directly from a web browser, eliminating the need for additional tools.
The modular design, combined with IP-based networking and daisy-chain capability, makes MIX-IP modules a scalable solution for both new projects and retrofit applications. As part of the broader MIX, MAX, and MINI portfolio, they provide flexibility to meet diverse I/O requirements across building systems.
Engineered for Performance.
MIX-IP modules combine high-resolution inputs, robust communication, and certified compliance to ensure reliable operation in demanding environments. With support for Niagara Framework integration, web-based configuration, and open protocols, they offer a future-ready solution for modern building automation systems.
